Erik Hoffmann: Can you imagine to play abroad one day?
你能想像有一天在國外踢球嗎？

Benni: Obviously, its appealing to play abroad one day. I like English football and can imagine to transfer to England later in my career. But at the moment it isn’t something I want.
Benni：很明顯的是，在國外踢球是還滿吸引人的。我喜歡英國人的足球，而且可以想像在我的生涯裡某個時間轉會到那兒，但是現在我並不想要。

Julian Schaufler: How do you see the chances of Schalke this year in Bundesliga and Champions League?
你怎麼看待沙爾克今年在德甲還有歐冠的表現？

Benni: We’ve got a young and hungry team and we will compete for the title as long as possible in all 3 competitions. Our team is well-placed and we are all up to the upcoming tasks.
Benni：我們是個年輕有欲望的球隊，在三線作戰中我們會盡所能去完成，我們的隊員們都各盡其位並能處理好即將面對的一切。

Felix Niehuis: What is the most important task for a captain in your opinion?
你認為身為隊長什麼是最重要的課題？

Benni: A captain has to assume responsibility in the team. He is truly an extension of the coach, should pass tactical advice to his teammates and lead the way.
Benni：身為隊長必須承擔隊伍的責任，隊長是教練的另一種延伸，應該要對每個隊友傳達戰術並帶領整個球隊。

Marcel Jostmann: With what level courses you have passed your a-level and what were your average grades?
你的A-level通過分數是平均幾分？(譯註:A-Level相當於台灣普通高中就讀大學的考試)

Benni: I did Mathematics and Business Administration. I don’t remember my average. *laughs*
Benni：我通過了數學和商業管理，但是我不記得是幾分了（笑）

Youdid Steiner: Your father is working as a coach at TuS Haltern. To what extent have your career aspirations and your professional career been influenced by him?
你父親在TuS Haltern當教練，這對你的生涯抱負有多大的影響？還有你的職業生涯被他影響了多少？

Benni: The desire to become a professional footballer, I’ve developed myself. My father was, by his coaching certainly my first port of call. He didn’t persuade and would never push me into it. He has supported me all these years and he has travelled with me to many places.
Benni：想成為職業選手的渴望是源自於我自己，而邁出職業生涯的第一步是來自我父親的幫助，他沒有從來沒有試著說服我進入職業圈子裡。他這些年來都十分的支持我，而我們也有去很多地方一起旅行。

Hendrik Huessmann: What did you do on the day, FC Schalke 04 become champions of the heart? [The day Schalke were set to become champions but a last minute win by bayern ruined it]
在沙爾克即將成為冠軍的那天你有什麼反應？（那天成為冠軍的希望在最後被拜仁給打破）

Benni: I can remember well. It was the 19th May 2001. I’ve seen the game as a kid on the big screen - not a nice memory.
Benni：我記得很清楚，那時是2001.5.19。在我小時候時有看那一場比賽，那不是個美好的回憶呢。

Laura Best: If you could be anyone else, who would you be?
如果有一天你可以變成別人，你想變成誰？

Benni: I don’t want to swap with anybody. I feel very comfortable in my own skin and I’m happy to be Benedikt Howedes.
Benni：我不想和任何人交換，我在這個身體裡很舒服自在，我很高興我是盃尼．赫韋德斯。
